40 lb Automatic Chicken Treadle Feeder
Keep Feed Fresh with a 40 lb Automatic Chicken Treadle Feeder
Reduce feed waste and keep rodents, wild birds, and moisture away with the My Favorite Chicken® 40 lb Automatic Chicken Treadle Feeder. This heavy-duty mechanical feeder holds up to 40 pounds of feed, providing enough feed for approximately 12 laying hens for up to 10 days under normal conditions.
The treadle design opens only when your chickens step onto the platform. As a result, feed stays cleaner while unwanted pests lose easy access.
Automatic Feeding with Quiet Operation
Unlike noisy treadle feeders, this model uses a smooth, quiet door that opens with minimal sound. Consequently, chickens adapt more quickly and feed with confidence.
The feeder comfortably accommodates:
- Up to 2 standard-size hens
- Up to 3 bantams or pullets
Adjustable Treadle for Every Flock
Every flock is different. Therefore, this feeder includes three adjustable resistance settings that let you customize the treadle sensitivity without using complicated tools.
Whether you keep lightweight pullets or larger laying hens, you can quickly adjust the opening force.
Keeps Feed Clean and Dry
The enclosed hopper protects feed from rain, dirt, rodents, and wild birds. In addition, the sealed lid helps keep feed dry in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Transparent side windows allow you to monitor feed levels without opening the lid, making refilling fast and convenient.
Built for Safety and Durability
This 40 lb Automatic Chicken Treadle Feeder features smooth, rolled edges that help prevent cuts during handling. The spring-assisted treadle also delivers dependable operation while requiring very little maintenance.
Furthermore, durable PVC treadle grips provide secure footing for your birds while reducing dirt buildup.
Easy Installation
Place the feeder directly on the coop floor or hang it using the integrated mounting holes.
The feeder arrives fully assembled and is ready to use immediately. Simply adjust the treadle sensitivity in seconds to match your flock.
