Poultry Grit

Poultry grit for chickens supplies hard, insoluble particles that help the gizzard grind whole grains, seeds, forage, and treats. Choose a particle size appropriate for chicks or adult birds, offer grit separately, and keep it clean and dry. Grit is not the same as oyster shell: grit supports mechanical digestion, while oyster shell supplies soluble calcium mainly for laying hens.
