Parkhill Family Enterprises, LLC, doing business as My Favorite Chicken, warrants new Coop Defender Gold automatic chicken coop door openers and Coop Defender door kits under the terms of this One-Year Limited Warranty.
Who Is Covered
This warranty applies to the original retail purchaser, or the original recipient of a product purchased as a gift, when the product was purchased new from My Favorite Chicken or an authorized retailer in the United States. It does not apply to products purchased for resale, products sold as used, or products whose proof of purchase cannot be established.
Warranty Period
Coverage lasts for one year from the original retail purchase date shown on the sales receipt or order confirmation. A replacement product or component is covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.
What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that prevent the Coop Defender opener, controller, lifting mechanism, or components supplied as part of a Coop Defender kit from operating substantially as described in the product manual during normal household use.
What My Favorite Chicken Will Do
After confirming an eligible defect, My Favorite Chicken will, at its option, provide troubleshooting assistance, repair the product, supply a replacement component, replace the product with the same or a reasonably comparable product, or refund the original product purchase price when repair or replacement is not reasonably available. Covered parts and approved standard shipping associated with the warranty remedy will be provided without charge. Any replacement may be new or functionally equivalent.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
- AA batteries, other consumable items, or routine battery replacement
- Normal wear, cosmetic changes, scratches, fading, or surface corrosion that does not prevent normal operation
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, improper storage, improper installation, incorrect programming, lack of maintenance, or operation contrary to the product manual
- Damage caused by alterations, incompatible attachments, unauthorized repairs, or modifications
- Damage caused by animals, pests, insects, fire, flooding, lightning, power problems, severe weather, or other external events
- Failure caused by a binding or misaligned door, tangled lifting cord, debris, bedding, mud, snow, or ice obstructing movement
- Use with a door outside the manual's rated weight range of approximately 0.66 to 2.20 pounds
- Damage resulting from commercial use or use of the product for a purpose other than ordinary household poultry-coop operation
- Incidental damage to a coop, flock, other property, or another product that is not itself a warranted Coop Defender component
An automatic coop door does not guarantee that every bird has entered the coop, that the door will operate without interruption, or that a coop is predator-proof. Owners remain responsible for correct installation, suitable settings, routine inspection, fresh batteries, a clear door path, and regular flock checks.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Stop using the product if it appears damaged or unsafe.
- Contact My Favorite Chicken through the Contact page, email info@myfavoritechicken.com, or call 800-684-1552.
- Provide the purchaser's name, order number or retailer receipt, purchase date, product model or SKU, and a description of the problem.
- When requested and safe to do so, provide photographs or a short video showing the product, installation, door movement, display, error message, or affected component.
- Complete reasonable troubleshooting steps provided by our support team. Do not ship the product unless we issue return instructions and a Return Authorization number.

How State Law Applies
